Top 10 Ways to Make Money with Special Reports

Internet marketers love special reports. They’re quick to make and easy to sell, which means you can make money from them – fast. Plus, there’s more than one way to earn with special reports. In fact, I came up with a list of 10 ways!

So here it is, my list of Top 10 Ways to Earn with Special Reports:

1. Make it a monthly resource in a paid membership program. Add useful special reports in the members’ resource area, or make it the featured content of the month.

2. Break it up into an E-course, to sell or give away. Chop up a special report to create an E-mail course or pre-recorded audio course.

3. Use the special report to create free Web 2.0 sites, such as Squidoo and Hub Pages. Create content for Squidoo lenses, Hub Pages and other Web 2.0 sites that promote your products and/or services, or affiliate products.

4. Break it up into autoresponder messages for your subscribers. Use the special report to give your subscribers useful information regularly.

5. Rewrite it to cater to a different or more specific niche. With a few tweaks, you can make a special report appeal to a completely different niche or market. For example, turn a general business report into one just for work-at-home Moms.

6. Use the content to create a mini-site for affiliate marketing. Set up a mini-site (5 pages or less) to promote an affiliate product. Get content from a special report.

7. Create a podcast. Use a special report as the basis for a podcast, which can be in audio or video format.

8. Use it as an upsell or downsell to another paid product. Offer a special report to buyers of a related product.

9. Turn it into a brandable report for your affiliates to use to promote your product or service. Let affiliates give away a special report to draw leads to your site or list.

10. Cull out the most actionable tips from the special report and turn each one into a Twitter Tweet. Shazam, you’re an instant expert.

2. Personalize your newsletter- there are hundreds of newsletters circulating on the Internet and in the mail. You need to make your newsletter stand out from the crowd. Making your newsletter uniquely you will make a difference. So be real. Feel free to include personality and emotion in your newsletter.

3. Make it look good- the visual aspect of your newsletter can make all the difference. Make it brief. (You only have the reader’s attention for a few minutes.) Use bullets and appealing headlines. And include graphics.

4. Let your readers give you their opinion- ask your readers to comment on the newsletter. They will tell you what they liked, disliked, or want to see more of. Additionally, the interaction with your readers draws you closer to a sale.

5. Include your contact information- the ultimate purpose of the newsletter is to get more customers (through name recognition, relationship building, and promoting your products). However, without your contact information, those potential customers will never appear.

Create a newsletter worthy of your company and you’ll drive your readers to future sales. Make it simple, make it short, and make it a powerful tool that reflects you and your business!

Let Your Passions Grow Your Business.. Or Not

This particular marketing tip talks about having a passionate attitude for your business and the products you promote. If you are passionate about your business and the services you provide, then you will be able to speak confidently and honestly about how it will benefit your customers. Your excitement and sincerity will create a desire in your customers to give your products a try. They will do this because they too want to feel that same passion you share.

On the other hand, if you do not have a love for your business, neither will your customers. Even if it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread, they will want nothing to do with it because your attitude towards the product did not resonate favorably with them. And why should they buy from you if you yourself are not excited about the product? Exactly! They shouldn’t and they won’t!

Aside from business, everything you do in life should be done with a purpose. That purpose should be to change your life or the lives of others. Put your entire heart and soul into making it happen.. Because life is too short to be doing something that you are not truly passionate about. Live your dreams and enjoy life to the fullest doing the things you love to do!

Find Your Passion.

Running a business is tiring, time-consuming, and often frustrating. It’s not uncommon for the “Entrepreneurial Light” to burn out. However, if you’re not excited about your products or services, no one else is going to be. And, who wants to buy a product/service they’re not enthusiastic about?

Quick tips for regaining your passion:

  • Write down all the reasons you love your products or services
  • Tell others the story of why you became an entrepreneur
  • Imagine what you want your business to look like in 5 years (even if it’s unrealistic… perhaps especially if it’s unrealistic!)
  • Read inspirational books, blogs, and articles about small business ownership
  • Take time to rejuvenate

Look, you became an entrepreneur for a reason. And, how you feel about your company is going to be reflected in the risks you’ll take, the way you interact with your customers, and the amount of money you bring in!

Ray Kroc (founder of McDonald’s) said, “If you work just for the money, you’ll never make it, but if you love what you’re doing, and always put the customer first, success will be yours.”

Be passionate! Be excited! Learn to love your business, your customers, and the simple joys of small business ownership. Pass that passion on to your employees and customers, and you’ll see a phenomenal difference in the growth and success of your business!

One of my favorite moments was when someone taught me about synergy. The example they used was two horses pulling a cart. Each horse can pull approximately 500 lbs. (I’m making that up, because I don’t remember the actual number.)
