mlm success stories - the truth about mlm
MLM Success Stories

If you search the Internet, it will not be long before you stumble upon a mlm success story. Personally, I have worked with several people in the past 4-5 years who have been able to live the dream of online success. So, I know the potential success MLM and Network Marketing can offer those who desire it the most.

Yesterday, we looked at the Truth About MLM – the Good the Bad and the Ugly. I showed you what people were saying about MLM, good, bad and ugly. And there was a lot of ugly expressed. Frankly, I don’t like ugly and I am not a negative person. So, we are going to shift a little today and strictly focus on POSITIVE SUCCESS.

Some people will not believe anything if they do not experience it for themselves or hear it from multiple sources. Therefore, I am eliciting support from some of my fellow MLM bloggers. For the sake of time, I am only going to use some of the more popular mlm success stories articles.

How It Happened, Where It's Going, and Why It Matters to YouThis is the story of a remarkable business opportunity, one that is open to all and is as simple to grasp as a telephone handset. It's about good old American ingenuity. It's about offering consumers a better deal. It's about people helping people. It's about accomodating and strengthening a family while working for financial achievement....

There are plenty of MLM Success Stories in our industry. Many people have gotten involved in our industry and changed their lives for the positive. Despite the MLM Horror Stories you see posted across the Internet, don’t make the mistake of believing that everyone fails in MLM. Many do, but not everyone.

http://mlmrookiechallenge.com/blog/skills-to-master/
Mlm success stories are made out of people who were willing to learn how to use the tools available to them to the fullest. The Internet is where the future of all commercial transactions will happen in a not too distant future. Those who don’t understand how marketing works, usually don’t understand what made them buy a pack of gum, a cool video game, or that lotto ticket. There is a bit of science behind the decisions you take, especially now that marketing messages are everywhere. It’s hard to go out today and not be influenced all these marketing ploys in front of us. Knowing what triggers people to take certain actions is vital to your online and offline success.

It is no longer uncommon to hear of very ordinary folks who only a few years ago were just eking out a miserable living now commanding six-figure incomes, working from home. A few network marketers have even developed their business to a level where they now enjoy a standard of living that even they themselves dared to dream of a few tears ago. Have you found success in mlm? with all the mlm success stories around us (and yes, most of them are true), it’s all too easy to assume that everyone going into network marketing is assured a lifetime of financial transformation. But is that really the case? well, from personal experience, i can say that the truth lies somewhere in between. And it is one of the most popular business options for individuals who desire to earn extra income from home.

For some additional mlm success motivation, you can take a look at an article I wrote a couple years ago, Three Feet from Gold, where I mentioned some highly recognizable figures who were able to desire their way to fame in the network marketing industry.  Specifically..

Dani Johnson – homeless at 21 to millionaire at 23
Tony Robbins – turned $10 into millions by age of 24
Mike Dillard – waiting tables to millionaire at 29
Matt Morris – homeless at 21 to millionaire at 29

I like talking about mlm in a positive light, because I believe this industry is your best opportunity to fulfill your dreams. You might not get there is quickly as some of the names above, and it may not happen the same way. You just have to make it happen. Your MLM Success Story is waiting to be written.

The Truth About MLM - The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

I have been doing some research lately in search of The Truth About MLM in 2011. The results may (or may not) surprise you.

Let’s start with the ugly and work our way up to the truth..

The Ugly.
http://www.addforums.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-58703.html
Mlm are the ones peddling their crap from the top to the salespeople/distributors. If you are not selling to the idiots attending the meetings, get out. They are the customers. The top doesn’t care if you actually sell the product or service, only if you buy from them. Mlm’s are disgusting in my book.

http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1729922
Mlm are responsible for shattered dreams, broken people, broken marriages, broken friendships, loss of money, and even suicide. I was in one in the past, and it was the biggest mistake i ever did. I lost friends, lost money and become depressed. Only the few top people make money and leave a trail of destruction of broken people. Mlm is evil. And they will say anything, lie, deceive to get people to sign up. Anchor: whrl. Posted 2011-jul-2, 7am aest.

The Bad.
http://www.archive.org/details/TheMythOfMlmIncome
Mlm are in the same small group positioned, year after year, at the top of the recruitment organization. The business model and business practices of most multi-level marketing companies directly cause the financial losses suffered by millions of consumers, not normal competitive factors orthe levels of efforts or talents of the participants. The collective losses represent an enormous transfer of money from several million people in the us each year to a handful of owners and recruiters. Like any other force that contributes to general impoverishment, this income transfer damages credit worthiness, breaks up marriages, ends friendships and degrades communities. Of the two categories of the mlm income opportunity, rebate income and retail sales income, the most publicized are the rebates, commissions and bonuses paid out on the purchases by “downline” recruits. This is the source that the companies claim has “unlimited potential” based on the opportunity to derive payments from an “endless” chain of recruits. Mlm allows all distributors to recruit others and qualified distributors to receive rebates on the purchases made by multiple levels of recruits that recruit more recruits. This report analyzes data from eight representative mlm companies. Seven of the companies that are analyzed are major and very well-known mlm companies and are members of the direct selling association. One is newer and growing and not a dsa member. Charts are provided showing the actual commission payouts on a per-10,000-sales-representatives basis for seven companies. The data show not only that virtually no recruits earn rebate profits but also that the mlm payout schemes transfer the lost investments of the great majority of participants to a tiny number of organizers at the top of the recruitment chains.

Mlm are making a real living income. I think to do what you do takes a lot of study, talent and hard work. I am still in the study and hard work phase. I haven’t found the talent yet. Over the years i’ve found half a dozen or so marketers that i listen to. You are definitely one of them.

http://business44.com/2010/09/http://business44.com/2010/09/what-is-network-marketing-and-how-do-you-find-the-right-one-for-you-2/
Mlm are the same thing. Today most people refer to it as network marketing. Network marketing is a business opportunity. You get an opportunity to start your own business and you need to relate to it as such. Most people who fail in network marketing because they do not relate to it as a real business. Most network marketing companies have a startup cost of $500 or less. Most businesses startup costs are $10,000 or more. The fact that network marketing business is a bargain should not be the cause of you treating it like it has no value. You need to be the same way as if you had invested $10,000. How to Create Tantalizing Marketing Headlines that Sell

Headlines on your ads should be created just like headlines you find in the newspapers. They should be written well enough that your prospects stop and say, “hmmm.. this looks interesting. I think I will see what it’s all about.”

Tantalizing Headlines

T A N T L I Z I N G

But how do you create interesting marketing headlines that will attract prospects to you, and not away from you?

Here’s a few tips to consider:

Triggers – Start with words that quickly grab your prospect’s attention: Free, Introducing, How to, Proven, Easy, Announcing, etc.

Most people fail to use these triggers in their ad copy.. a mistake for them, and a reward for you.

Benefits (or value)- Your readers must understand from your headlines that there is something in it for them. What are the benefits? What’s in it for me? Examples: Learn the Hidden Secrets of a six-figure Mastermind, Tips on How To Generate 30 Leads in 24 hours, Free E-book, etc.

Specificity – Identify the specific benefits that your readers will receive once they read your ad copy.
Example: Stronger, faster, better, cured, etc.

Uniqueness – What is your Unique Selling Proposition? What makes your product or service different or better than your competitors? You have to relay this to your prospects in your headlines.. and your ad copy.

So, when we put this all together..

You will want to: 1) grab your prospects attention 2) provide them something of value 3) be specific about the benefits offered 4) identify the uniqueness of your product or service

Here are some example headlines for you to ponder

How To Get Your Prospects to Open Your Email

Your Email Sucks.. But there is a Solution

5 Reasons Why Your Emails Aren’t Opened (And how to fix it)

Imagine this: You sent an email to your entire list to generate sales for an end-of-the-month push. Later you check your reports and see that your open rate were abysmal. What a blow! Not only did you fail to generate sales, a bunch of contacts unsubscribed from your list.

There are a few reasons why this may have happened, but here are the four most likely reasons along with advice for how you can fix it.

You send junk

Would you sending the stuff you send to your list to your friends and family? If not, think about a different way to touch base with your contacts and provide something of relevance. Not sure if you send junk? If your email message is “useful,” it’s resourceful and people want to save and archive it. If your message is “interesting” it’s funny, relevant and usually good for forwarding to their contacts. If your message is neither interesting or useful … it’s junk.

You use unoriginal, boring subject lines

People are tired of receiving the same emails with the same boring subject lines. They get it. Really, that’s why they don’t bother reading them. Be imaginative and creative and make people think when they read your subject line.

You are still emailing customers from 1998

Do you use the same email address for everything? Probably not. Chances are, you have a primary address for friends and family and a secondary address for commercial offers. Your contacts are the same way, and are probably using their secondary address with you.

Email permission tends to expire in about 10 months – so the more opportunities to confirm and re-confirm their interest (beyond an opt-out link), the  better. To fix this, consider using an alternative follow-up campaign (phone/direct mail) to have people update their contact information and re-opt-in to your marketing. Disciplined email marketing pays off when you have a truly engaged, interested and hungry list – and you can really cater to the people who matter.

You send just like the rest of ‘em

We all get our nighttime to morning email flood. I admit, sometimes I  just use my Delete key more liberally during those hours and my reply button  during the daytime. To fix this, try mixing up and allowing people to choose if they want your message in the morning, in the evening or mid-day.

You emailed to your entire list

Not every subscriber is interested in everything you have to offer. Slice and dice your email list into relevant, targeted groups and send to those groups of users where the message is attractive, engaging and relevant.

Not everyone’s open rates will always improve. It’s fact. However, the more you pay close attention to the result of your emails and more importantly your recipients’ expectations and satisfaction – the more your email open rates will rise with your fine-tuning.

Happy Emailing!
