Selecting a niche and then marketing to this target audience could provide you 16X greater results than what you are currently receiving. Do you want to leave that kind of money on the table? I Think Not!

If you were to take a survey of network marketers, you would find that some know exactly what their niche is and others remain unsure. Many of them are fearful of defining their niche because they believe it will narrow sales and cut into their profit. In fact, a defined niche makes your business more powerful. Knowing your niche gives you the power to know whom your target audience is and what you need to do to get their attention. If you are already doing business, but still do not have a clear picture of your niche:

Determine what your present customers or clients all have in common.
    • Identify what sets you apart from your competitors.
Recognize the difference between the products and services that you provide and others available in the same market.
    • Decide what you can add to the market. As you go over these important points, be sure not to over analyze. Simply make a note of the first thing that comes to mind. Once you have considered all of these points, you will be able to define your niche with ease.

Once you identify who your target audience is, you will be able to find even more opportunities for you to explore. You will have the information that you need in order to focus your attention on the clients that are interested in your business and what you are offering. In a society that is constantly changing, knowing your target marketing audience will save you time and money.

When you are in the process of creating a strategy for your marketing campaign, you need to define three main factors:

    • You direct your marketing efforts toward your target market, which is the group of people to which you would like to sell your services or products. You need to target an audience that is interested in what your business has to offer. You can break your target audience down into sections such as age, income, demographics and psychographics.
The individual people and businesses within your marketing target audience are your purchasing target. These are the people who need your services or products and have the means to make a purchase.
    • You communication target is all the different styles and methods that you use to connect with your target audience. The marketing message that you send out to your target audience through your communication target can be either formal or informal.

It is important that you are not only familiar with these aspects of your strategy, but you must also know how to get all three components working together and to your benefit.

Each of these factors is important on their own, as well as working together perfectly like pieces of a puzzle.

When you identify and get to know your target, it will be able to develop your marketing campaign effectively. Building a marketing strategy when you do not know your target audience is like throwing darts at a board with no bull’s eye.

Knowing your target will allow you to create specialize promotions and offers as well as increase your capability to turn your marketing efforts into successful sales and business deals.
