Every day I logon Facebook and Twitter, I am approached by people trying to offer me something, none of them providing any real value. Wait.. let me restate that. Perhaps they have value to offer, but they choose not to bring it. They would much rather go about it the easy way or take the lazy approach to marketing. You see, creating value requires time and skill. It takes time to connect with people and really get to know them. It takes no time to blast them with your affiliate and MLM advertisements. It takes skill to create quality content that serves a purpose of helping people solve their problems. It takes little skill to create content with “ME” as the person receiving all the benefits. This is the mindset of 95% of network marketers, and that is why most of them end up failing in this industry.
How would you like to be the 5% that actually go about it the right way? How would you like to be the 5% that people want to do business with? How would you like to be the 5% that actually make a profit in this industry?
It’s not an easy task, but it is also not that all difficult. In this article I’m going to share with you some knowledge I have acquired over the years that has the potential to earn you 100 times more than what you are currently making in network marketing, and by following this guidance, you have the potential to create a mass of people begging to do business with you
I know your time is valuable, so let’s jump right into it.
Mike Dillard said it best. “If you want to make it big in networking, (or anything in life), you must learn to convey leadership qualities, and eventually become a leader with value to offer others.”
The keyword in his statement is, “Value.” Stop selling to your prospects, but learn to give to them. The more you give, the more you receive in return. If you genuinely want to help your prospects, they will see this in the content you are sharing with them. They will want to follow you and they will eventually inquire about your business.
The typical day for an average prospect is to check their email at some point during the day to get updated on what’s going on in the world. They then want to connect with friends and family on their favorite social networking site. At some point during the period they are spending time on the Internet, they are approached by someone offering some type of network marketing opportunity, whether it be by email solicitation or a simple status update on Facebook. If they are actively seeking a network marketing opportunity and happen to run across your content, you want your content to provide them with something of value.
You will need to be able to connect with your prospects on a level that creates trust and value. Your content must be able to separate you from the masses (be unique). You have to create a thirst and desire in them that creates a call to action. Your content must be able to tell them who you are and what you are about before they even speak to you personally.
For instance, I was on a team conference call one evening and a young man by the name of Larry Beacham was the trainer for that particular call. I was at awe with what this guy was able to accomplish in this industry after only 6 months of being online. I also admired the way in which he went about his business online. He was genuinely honest; you could hear it in his voice. He backed up my initial perceptions of him with his content. You see, I immediately conducted a search for him after the call. Google is such a wonderful thing.. I watched his videos, read his articles and reviewed comments from the many people that followed him on several social networking sites. I later messaged him on Facebook and eventually contacted him by phone the following day. Long story short, I actively pursued him. Why did I do this? He had value, value that could potentially help me reach my personal goals. That, my friend, is the same type of thirst and desire you have to create in your prospects. That is the type of value you must bring to the table.
Experts say that the potential value of a network marketing prospect is infinite. Taking the time to create valuable content (articles, blog posts, videos, lenses, hubs, tweets, etc.) that educates or helps your prospects with their issues, will bring this infinite source of income right to your doorstep. Once on board, the sky is the limit with how much income each of them will bring you.
Educate yourself about your business. You can’t offer value if you have no skills. Spend some time learning how to become an expert in this industry. Become a “Master Blogger,” an “Attraction Marketing Genius,” a “LinkedIn Professional,” the “YouTube Guru” or a specialist in other areas of network marketing. In doing so, people will notice, and they will automatically pursue interest in you so they can share in a small piece of that power and value you offer. Again, it’s not about selling; it’s about providing VALUE and solutions. The selling will pretty much happen on its own as people start to follow you.
With this information, you are now miles ahead of 95% of network marketers, even those in your very own company. Get started today on providing value to your prospects and enjoy the increased profits and interest it will soon bring you.
